What is the Investors’ Guide?

The Investors’ Guide is Obayashi’s periodic IR booklet that gives a full-company overview in one document. Unlike a quarterly earnings presentation — which focuses on the latest results — the guide is designed to help an investor understand the entire business at a glance. The June 2026 edition is organized into five chapters:

  • 1. Overview of the Obayashi Group — company profile, global network, history, strengths, and value-creation process
  • 2. Business Overview — the five business areas, the domestic construction market, and the overseas businesses
  • 3. Medium-Term Business Plan 2022 — strategy, KPIs, cash allocation, capital policy, and investment plan
  • 4. IR & SR Basic Policy — how the company engages with shareholders and investors
  • 5. Appendix — five-year financial data, the balance sheet, and share-price / ESG information

Chapter 1 — Overview of the Obayashi Group

  • Company Overview & Business Portfolio — the whole group in one view: ¥2,586.2bn in sales, and why 74.5% of profit comes from domestic construction.
  • Global Network — sales by region: Japan 67.1%, North America 21.8%, Asia 10.5%.
  • History — from 1892 to Tokyo Station, Skytree, and the Expo 2025 Grand Ring.
  • Strengths — the Obayashi Three Pledges, the three “Powers,” and 8,000+ engineers.
  • Value Creation Process — six forms of capital in, value to five stakeholder groups out.

Chapter 2 — Business Overview

Chapter 3 — Medium-Term Business Plan 2022 & Capital Policy

Chapter 4 — IR & SR Basic Policy

  • IR & SR Policy — timely, fair disclosure and a feedback loop into management.

Chapter 5 — Financial Data & Appendix
