Compared with the previous year, strong sales of automotive aftermarket repair parts in Japan and overseas and the consolidation of BLITZ (consolidated only in the fourth quarter of the previous year) increased net sales by 6,526 million yen (up 9.5%). Gross profit increased by 1,566 million yen (up 12.1%), while selling, general and administrative expenses rose by 1,290 million yen on expanded investment in human capital and persistently high costs such as logistics expenses, so the increase in operating profit was limited to 276 million yen (up 8.4%). At the U.S. subsidiaries, profit declined significantly due to the impact of U.S. tariff policy.

Financial Position and Cash Flow Highlights

Total assets at the end of March 2026 were 47,797 million yen (up 3,624 million yen from the end of the previous fiscal year). Cash and deposits increased to 9,593 million yen (up 1,721 million yen) on higher sales and other factors, and inventories increased to 12,641 million yen (up 1,527 million yen) in response to U.S. tariff policy and geopolitical risk as well as on higher sales. Interest-bearing debt increased to 8,324 million yen (up 736 million yen) in line with various investments and an increase in working capital. The equity ratio was 61.0% (+0% versus the end of the previous fiscal year) and ROE was 9.6% (-0.1%). Cumulative cash flow from operating activities for the fiscal years ended March 2025 and March 2026 was 3,700 million yen and funds raised through financing activities were 7,300 million yen, of which 1,300 million yen was allocated to shareholder returns, 1,500 million yen to human capital, 1,200 million yen to IT and infrastructure investment, 2,400 million yen to debt repayment and 3,700 million yen to M&A.

Segment Results (by Sales Division)

SPK is organized into four sales divisions: the Domestic Sales Division, the Overseas Sales Division, the CUSPA Sales Division and the Industrial Machinery Sales Division. The Domestic Sales Division posted higher sales and profit, with net sales of 32,076 million yen (up 4.6% year on year) and operating profit up 7.5%, supported by solid demand for aftermarket repair parts stemming from a maintained vehicle population and the lengthening average age of vehicles, and by strong sales of private-brand products and mainstay items such as batteries, suspension components, wipers and air-conditioning filters. Earnings at domestic consolidated group companies declined as the company struggled with some customers, but overall performance was firm. The Overseas Sales Division progressed steadily through the third quarter, supported by solid demand for automotive aftermarket repair parts overseas and strong sales of new products, but struggled in the fourth quarter under the influence of the situation in the Middle East; disruption caused by U.S. tariff policy led to lower sales and profit at part of the North American subsidiaries and margins also fell in Southeast Asia, so while net sales were 27,979 million yen (up 10.4%), operating profit declined 10.5%. In the CUSPA Sales Division, the contribution from consolidating BLITZ lifted net sales by 54.4% and operating profit by 411% (excluding BLITZ, net sales rose 8.1% and operating profit rose 22.9%). In a harsh environment that included soaring raw material costs and higher import prices due to the weak yen, the division revised prices for its own-brand products and reviewed its shipping-fee structure, applied selection and concentration to development and advertising investment, and also advanced collaboration with BLITZ, a tie-up with a new automaker and the strengthening of simulator-related business. In the Industrial Machinery Sales Division, sales for construction machinery and agricultural machinery progressed steadily in the fourth quarter, while sales of forklift parts for North America, Europe and Japan remained sluggish, with weak sales in the North American market the main factor behind the profit decline. Net sales were down 0.7% and operating profit down 4.4%.
