Consolidated Results (Full-Year Actual)

Net sales increased year on year, mainly due to an increase in shipments to the United States, and operating income increased due to higher net sales and the price revisions for some products. Ordinary income rose 6.5% to 8,526 million yen. Profit attributable to owners of parent was broadly flat at 5,640 million yen (down 0.1%), and ROE was 7.1%, compared with 7.5% in the previous year. Sales by Product and Region

By product, sales of generators increased by 988 million yen (1.7%) to 59,527 million yen: in Japan, shipments of mobile-type generators for the rental market decreased while shipments of emergency generators remained steady, and overseas sales increased significantly, driven by a recovery in sales to the U.S. market. Sales of welders increased by 251 million yen (5.4%) and sales of compressors decreased by 176 million yen (19.6%). By region, domestic sales fell 3.1% to 40,853 million yen, while overseas sales grew 9.8% to 31,390 million yen, lifting the overseas ratio to 43.5% of net sales. North/Central America rose 16.2% to 22,475 million yen and Asia was roughly flat at 6,585 million yen.

Full-Year Forecast (FY2027/3)

For FY2027/3, Denyo forecasts net sales of 74,500 million yen (up 3.1%), operating income of 8,000 million yen (up 3.1%), ordinary income of 8,700 million yen (up 2.0%) and profit attributable to owners of parent of 5,900 million yen (up 4.6%). The assumed exchange rate is 150 yen/dollar. In Japan, construction demand is expected to remain resilient, and overseas sales are expected to increase, supported by a recovery in the U.S. market and steady construction demand; by region, North/Central America is forecast at 24,500 million yen (up 9.0%) and Asia at 7,000 million yen (up 6.3%). Gross profit margin is expected to improve, mainly due to price revisions for certain products and lower depreciation expenses.

Shareholder Returns

Denyo states that it will continue its progressive dividend policy and flexibly acquire treasury shares to allocate results at an approximate total payout ratio of 40%. The annual dividend for FY2026/3 was 100 yen per share (interim 45 yen, year-end 55 yen), up from 75 yen in FY2025/3, and the FY2027/3 plan is 120 yen (interim 60 yen, year-end 60 yen). The total payout ratio was 55.2% for FY2026/3 and is forecast at 59.0% for FY2027/3. On May 14, 2026, the company announced a share repurchase to improve capital efficiency, enhance returns to shareholders, and enable the flexible implementation of future capital policies: up to 280,000 shares of common stock and up to 1,000 million yen in total acquisition cost, with an acquisition period from May 15, 2026 to November 11, 2026.

Medium-Term Plan and Long-Term Vision

Under the medium-term management plan “Denyo 2026,” the company targets consolidated net sales of 80.0 billion yen, ordinary income of 8.0 billion yen (ordinary income margin: 10.0%), ROE of 7.0% and a total payout ratio of approximately 40% for FY2026, compared with FY2023 results of net sales of 73,140 million yen, ordinary income of 7,378 million yen, ROE of 7.3% and a total payout ratio of 25.9%. Non-financial targets include sales of decarbonized products of 3.0 billion yen, a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and a percentage of female managers of 15%. The long-term vision for FY2035 targets consolidated net sales of 100.0 billion yen, ordinary income of 12.0 billion yen and ROE of 8%. As initiatives toward carbon neutrality, Denyo has started sales of a hydrogen-light oil mixed combustion generator, which can generate power with up to 50% hydrogen mixed in with the fuel, and is developing a dedicated hydrogen generator and fuel-cell portable generators.
